# DocMeta

The **DocMeta** object is retrieved from the [**Metadata**](https://chaoses-ib.gitbook.io/directory-opus/manual/reference/scripting_reference/scripting_objects/metadata)**.doc** or [**Metadata**](https://chaoses-ib.gitbook.io/directory-opus/manual/reference/scripting_reference/scripting_objects/metadata)**.doc\_text** properties. It provides access to metadata relating to document files.
