# Display

The **Display** tab in the *Folder Format* dialog contains general options that affect the appearance of the file list.

* **View mode**: Choose the view mode (details, thumbnails, etc.)
* **List mode column width**: Specify the column width for list mode. If *Auto* is chosen, the width of the details mode *Name* column is used.
* **Checkbox mode**: Turn [checkbox mode](https://chaoses-ib.gitbook.io/directory-opus/manual/basic_concepts/selecting_files/selecting_with_the_mouse_and_keyboard/checkbox_mode) on automatically.
* **Thumbnail size**: Override the default thumbnail size in this folder.
* **Thumbnail resizing**: Override the default thumbnail resizing options.
* **Font**: Specify a custom font used in this folder.
